How many times we breathe everyday?

Did you ever counted how many times you breathed today? You might say that it's a little less than impossible task, but for your knowledge, according to a research, a normal human being breathes about 20,000 times in a day.
Taking the average of 960 breathes an hour, a person would breathe about 8,409,600 times in an year. If a person lives to 80, they would take about 672,768,000 breathes in a lifetime.

How much air passes through your lungs everyday?
The average adult while at rest inhales and exhales about 7 or 8 litres of air per minute. That totals about 11,000 litres of air per day. Is pure oxygen deadly?
We breathe air that is 20-21% oxygen, and we require oxygen to live. So you might think that breathing 100% oxygen would be good for us, but actually it can be harmful. So the short answer is, pure oxygen is generally bad, and sometimes toxic.
